Editing Post 1

The editor for the video is Ernest (click the link to see his blog):

He’s the only one who is knowledgeable and has the skill to do it. For the opening scene the transition used is fade so it fits into the mysterious and ominous feel. It will also capture the tension that the situation has. As part of the video, we had to backgrounds of Florida to create a picture of what type of neighborhood was plagued by the robbery and how it might be understandable on how the situation caught everyone off guard. The problems that were encountered were with the sound effects and sound in general. Many of the voiceover scenes recorded were not in sync with other scenes that were shot so Ernest has to make it sound as natural as possible. The current remedy to the obstacle is to edit the sound which comes with a long session of replaying it until it sounds satisfactory. Another issue is the time limit as we teeter close to the edge of being under two minutes. The interviews that were taken are both too long if we add a certain clip or too short if we decide to remove one. Currently we’re focusing on which clip is not needed so we can shorten it as much as possible without making it choppy.
